Quick Tangy Onion Tarts

Great served hot or cold with a green salad.

Quick Tangy Onion Tarts


  • 1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry (most are vegan - check packaging)
  • Wonky Tangy Onion Relish
  • 25 g toasted hazlenuts
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme


Pre heat the oven to 200℃

Roll out the puff pastry, with a sharp knife score a rectangle about one inch from the outside edge being careful not to cut all the way through. Then carefully transfer to a baking tray.

Bake the pastry in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and flatten the risen central rectangle with the back of a spoon. Spread over a layer of Wonky Tangy Onion relish and top with a sprinkle of fresh thyme return to the oven for a further 10 to 15 minutes or until the pastry on the edges is golden and risen. Finish with a sprinkling of toasted hazelnuts and serve with a green salad.
